Who: Astoria and Draco
When: early Friday afternoon
Where: outside Rose Weasley's
What: Astoria needs to see a familiar face— even if that face is Draco's.
Rating/Status: Low/Incomplete
Astoria didn't know what to think— no, that wasn't quite right. She knew exactly what she was thinking, and all her thoughts revolved around the fact that she hated this island. She hated whoever (whatever?) had brought her here, she hated that she had gone ahead and opened her baggage, and she hated that she was wandering around the island looking for her not-husband. Her luggage was weighing heavily on her mind, constantly whispering in the back of her mind, pestering her about the state of her not-marriage, not leaving her conscious for a second. Even when she slept, she was seeing flashes of the past and fears for her future.
The whole experience was exhausting.
It was a good half-hour before she stumbled across Draco and his current project, and she kept quiet for a moment, simply watching him at work. There was no attraction there — for obvious reasons — but it made her happy to see him doing something with his hands. She had always thought he might like creating things. But that might have been the romantic in her. For all she knew of Draco Malfoy, he might loathe the work more than he disliked her.
Astoria shook her head, dislodging the pesky thought. She couldn't go into a conversation with Draco, of all people, apprehensive and unsure. A strong front was her only hope of coming out unscathed — that had already been proven several times over.
"Draco?" She asked curiously, flashing a tight smile.
