Remus wanted to tell her not to be sorry, that he knew now and that this was all that mattered. He wanted to hold her even tighter, but he feared doing so would break the poor woman in half. Marrying him had been stupid and reckless but somehow, she must have made it work. They must have made it work.
The sensation of someone kissing the side of his face was new and strange and though Remus didn't dislike it in the least, it did make him somewhat uncomfortable. Though the smile didn't leave his face, he took a step back.
"Thank you," he said, and took a deep breath. That had been a new experience and frankly, he had liked it. He'd missed hugs, hadn't really had one in years. Sirius had greeted him with a punch to the face, after all. "We should walk." He still had a couple huts worth of names to write down, but his pace was now slower, his panic subdued.
