If it was possible to melt, Tonks would be a puddle. She'd missed being in his arms like this. Remus' chest was so broad and strong and whenever she'd needed something to lean on, it was there. Now his arms were back around her and his lips had come so close to her skin. Tonks couldn't let go if she wanted to. Her fingers nearly dug into his back, desperate to hold onto him for a little bit longer.
"I'm so sorry I didn't tell you before. I'm so sorry, love." Tonks turned her head and kissed his cheek and his temple. How she had missed these moments. "You were.. you are a wonderful husband. A good, honest, wonderful man." She kissed his temple again and hugged him tighter.
