Dora certainly had a lot to say, Remus thought, a bit of a smile curling at his lips. Perhaps she was right. It was entirely possible they were happy together because she could fill in the silence and be a bright spot of happiness to contrast with his gloom.
When she mentioned the full moon, however, the emotion he had felt mounting and the thoughts he hadn't been quite able to bring to the forefront of his mind practically slammed into him right between the eyes as fear gripped him. Remus almost didn't hear the second part of her sentence over the pounding of his heart in his ears. "I didn't bite you?" he asked, surprised. Did he dare hope that was what she was telling him?
