Had Angelina learned who Anton was before Mystery Fellow, things would have played out differently. If he'd mentioned his name instead of offering ideas for her water polo court, Angelina wouldn't be here today. But things hadn't turned out that way, and now Angelina felt comfortable around him. Once she found out the truth, it would make things complicated. He seemed perfectly harmless. And she'd know he had no one else - how was she meant to leave someone out alone like that? She would make excuses while being conflicted, something or other about him being from before that time. Before his soul turned dark and the evil took over. But his actions were inevitable, in the end.
Watching his form move closer to her, Angelina felt her heart skip a beat. She wasn't sure if it was because of how handsome he was, because of this whole 'secrecy' thing, or because of the possible danger. It was exhilarating, whatever it was. Angelina had no idea if this man was a Death Eater, or if he was Merlin himself. He could be anyone, and so could she. Biting her lip, Angelina felt her cheeks burn and she looked out towards the horizon.
"Right now feels like a dream, yeah. Sure as hell beats a nightmare eh?" Which is what Angelina's life had been for the first little while on this island. Letting her bottom half sink downwards, Angelina tread where the water wasn't much deeper than her. "I hated it here at first," she admitted, "but it's grown on me. Got better with time, I reckon. Plus, it's hard to hate something so beautiful." Angelina's voice was soft, and hardly louder than a whisper over the waves.
