Ange decided it would be better not to point out changing to be happy with Fred was compromising. Or that dating before marriage was a compromise on Helena's part. She couldn't possibly imagine how difficult this was for Helena, since Angelina was used to the way the majority of people behaved. Hundreds of years had not passed between Angelina and others, it had been in the twenties and tens. Biting her lip, Ange racked her mind to think of something that would ease Helena's mind. Unfortunately, she found herself coming up short. What the hell was she supposed to say, anyways? Ange couldn't believe Fred had allowed this to happen - they'd hardly been together for a week!
"These are things you have to communicate to Fred. I don't know how they were in your time, but all the men I know are absolutely clueless. Unless you spell things out for them, they won't know what you want." Sighing, Ange closed her eyes briefly. "What would make you happy? Or what is it you'd like Fred to do? Is it the guilt that's making you unhappy? I'm not going to sit here and say everything's going to be okay. Things are bound to change, but that's not necessarily bad. It's your choice if you want to move forwards, though. I would suggest it, since it's not going to do you any good to dwell and be upset over this. Maybe it wasn't the best decision, to sleep with Fred, but that doesn't change the fact it happened. And the more you beat yourself up, the worse off you're going to be."
