Angelina gave Helena a weak smile. "Because relationships are about making things work between two people. That means two different personalities, two different styles, and in your case - two different times. In relationships, when things don't work smoothly, they're compared. Relationships are about making compromises to keep both parties happy. Because you and Fred come from such different eras, your compromises are all going to come from social situations. It sucks, yeah, but it's how things are. Now you can get mad about how it's not fair, but think about everything you've done because of Fred you would have never done before. You've been enjoying yourself, no?"
Taking a few steps forwards, Angelina sat down on the ground as well. She was near Helena, but not uncomfortably close. Ange respected the fact that Helena wanted space. "I get that you're upset, but why are you upset? Think about that moment specifically. Did you enjoy yourself? Is it just afterwards you've been feeling guilty and upset, or did you feel like this before it was over? Focus on what you're feeling. I know it's hard, and you've been brought up differently - but you'll never be happy unless you pay attention to your feelings. I hate to use it as an example, but you weren't happy with Anton. I don't want something like that to happen to you... again."
Ange sighed, unsure if she was helping things or making things worse. She recognized that Helena was dealing with crazy emotions, but Angelina wasn't entirely sure how to deal with it.
