"I'm sorry to have disturbed you," Regulus said simply. Lupin was much older than when Regulus had last seen him. James had looked nearly the same - and from what Regulus could gather, Sirius wasn't much older either. But Lupin was a great deal older than Regulus had expected. Although he was aware of the fact that people were coming from different times, he had made the strange assumption that Lupin would be close to the age he remembered, barely out of school, a little too thin and with an odd assortment of scars.
He supposed the second two still held true. Admittedly, Regulus had always wondered where the scars came from. Lupin had always seemed painfully well-behaved and quiet to him. He had always chalked it up to something that had happened when he was a child, but Regulus wasn't certain. In any case, he had been raised better than to stare.
