Who: Remus and Regulus Where: Their bungalow When: Saturday afternoon afternoon What: Some awkward, roommate bonding Status/Rating: Incomplete, probably low
Regulus was more than aware of the fact that he was sharing a bungalow with Remus Lupin. He had simply tried to avoid being about as much as possible - he had little interest in seeing Lupin. Having James Potter corner him in the library had been more than enough for him. He knew that Sirius was here and all of his little gang, except for Pettigrew, were also here. However, Regulus was at an utter lost for how he was supposed to be dealing with any of them. He hadn't run into Sirius yet and he didn't know what he would do if he met up with his brother soon. He didn't know if his actions had changed anything between them. After all, James had said that Sirius knew that he had been missing for the last few months. What he didn't know is if Sirius knew why - and if Sirius knew why -
But it all seemed so pointless. In any case, Lupin wasn't Sirius. Lupin had always seemed to be the most tolerable of Sirius' little group, but Regulus had never extensively interacted with him at school. Certainly, they had been Prefects together, but they were different years, different houses, and Regulus had always made a point of maintaining a distance. Such as he was doing now. He didn't know what Lupin thought of him, but he was sure that it couldn't be anything good. He could only imagine the stories that Sirius had fed all his friends about their family.
Which was why it was almost something of a surprise when he came into the bungalow in the early afternoon to find Lupin there. Regulus paused for a palpable moment, his mind going blank, unable to sort out exactly what he was supposed to do.
"Excuse me," he said finally, his tone distant and overly formal.
