The only person Angelina intended on telling about this excursion, was Alicia. Which wouldn't matter, in the long run. Angelina and Alicia didn't swap sex partners, so for now Adrian was going to have to settle for a ginger-loving milf. Ange was a girl, which meant she couldn't keep things like this bottled up. But it was also Adrian Pucey she was sexing, and that wasn't a fact she really wanted to get other there. Ange had no intentions of telling Helena, Oliver, Penny, Fred, George, or anyone else on the island. Angelina wasn't entirely sure she wanted to discuss the words they'd shared, though. Alicia may only find out about the sex, not the conversation. Ange didn't really want to admit she'd told Pucey about her mother and how she regretted her marriage.
Angelina knew better than to press Adrian's issue with failing. The memory must have be tearing him up on the inside, the same way hers had. Until Roxanne arrived here, Angelina had been sure she'd died of whatever illness she came down with. George had done what he could to comfort her, but it wasn't enough. He didn't know, and Angelina couldn't bring herself to ask any of her nieces or nephews. Hearing that her daughter had died was something Ange could not take. The same way she imagined Pucey could not take knowing he'd cheated. It must be terrible to know that without knowing why or what happened. Angelina knew Adrian wasn't horrible, so she found it hard to believe his cheating wasn't premeditated. But you never knew.
"Or friendships," Angelina breathed before being cut off entirely. She knew that even without George, without a husband, without children, Katie and Alicia would be enough. It was about their connection, their intimate conversations, and the support they provided. Angelina wondered, briefly, if Adrian had anyone like that. If he let anyone see him at his weakest, or talked to them about his worries. She doubted it, but she didn't really know. As much as she knew about Pucey, she knew nothing. Gripping with her legs, Angelina forgot about the conversation. She no longer cared about Adrian's problems, or fixing them. Angelina was a woman who wanted to fix things, but she was a woman with needs too. The time for fixing would come later.
