Well that got his attention. Adrian stopped his flailing in the water for a moment, returning to the perfectly capable treading that he was able to do as he stared at Angelina for a moment. "Well now, only a few weeks?" He repeated back an entirely too interested look on his face. "Please don't tell me you let Georgey-boy shag you once for old time's sake. That's just poor form" He shook his head. Really her whole life was an excellent reminder of why marriage and relationships were absolute rubbish. Not that Adrian needed any particular reminder of that sort but if he did...
He wiggled his toes once more just to spite her as she yelled at him to be still. He had always been contrary like that. He gave her plan a moment of thought before giving her the same cocky grin he always wore. "Of course I can swim with one leg. If not I can just deploy my little friend, he's like a leg you know." He had to add with a snort of laughter.
Adrian waited until Angelina dove underneath the water to unhook the net before he actually settled down and let himself simply float, waiting to be freed from the sea floor. It was a damn good thing he didn't get particularly sea sick with the waves as rough as they were. Note to self: no more swimming while there was a storm. Feeling the tangle of the net ease slightly he took an experimental paddle forward. Freedom of sorts.
He didn't take off for the shore though, even Adrian wasn't such an ass as to swim away before Angelina resurfaced.
