Ange made a point to dodge the water Pucey was spitting up. It was amusing and annoying all at the same time, which left just confusing. Like all kids, Angelina had done the exact same thing. Now, she couldn't help but think how the water tasted, or what just might be in the water. Perhaps that was the mother in her, or maybe it was because she'd never particularly enjoyed the taste of salt.
Raising an eyebrow, Ange shook her head gently. "As a matter of fact, Adrian," Ange made her own point of using his first name. "It's only been a couple of weeks." Now what on earth had made her say that? It wasn't a secret that Angelina and George had hardly spoken, and definitely wouldn't have been romancing since their time on this island. Which left one thing - Ange had had sex with another man. As far as she knew, only George, Fred, Helena, and Alicia knew she'd slept with Fred. Of course, Adrian might have heard it somewhere, but Angelina hadn't been the one bragging. Not that it hadn't been a good shag, because it had, but because her daughter was here.
"Stop it, stop moving!" she called at him, realizing that by him pointing his foot and trying to pull it was just making things worse. The waves were thrashing around a bit harder now too. Great, just bloody great. With a sigh, Angelina tried to think of a better solution. "If I dive down and unhook the net, can you swim with one leg? I can't see anything out here!" She was banking on the fact that unwinding the net on land would be easier.
