Pollux would have agreed with his sister. The tea had been shocking, to say the least. To learn that his future family would kill people, and that his grandchildren had all but lost touch wasn't what he'd been expecting. Surely they weren't that cold towards Marius or Cedrella, even? Cedrella had chosen her own path, and Pollux didn't blame her. How could he? When he had followed his heart instead of his family's choices. Pollux was only lucky Irma had been a pureblood. He'd never know what would have happened if Irma wasn't, but he shuddered to think about it. Would he have fallen in love with her, or ignored her? Pollux couldn't imagine ignoring his wife now, but back then? When he was thirteen and so swayed by money?
Waiting for his sister to arrive was nearing torture. He didn't even like the fact that she was walking to his home alone. There was a lot of space between the bungalows - anything could happen. Though he found this island to be remarkably safe so far, one never knew. Pollux was pacing while he waited for his sister. He knew if he were sitting he would just get agitated, and he did not want to be agitated to meet Gellert Grindewald. Pollux had hear numerous stories about the man, and was just as uneasy to see him as he was to think his sister was outside alone.
The knock made Pollux jump, and he had no idea why. Rushing towards the door, he opened it to his sister standing there. Now that she was here, Pollux was able to calm down and lose half the tension in his body. "Cassie," he greeted warmly, pulling her into a short hug. It was a gesture reserved for family and close friends, and Cassiopeia had been Pollux's favorutie for many years now. He cared about her more than he really knew possible, and would be absolutely devastated should anything happen to her. Perhaps that's why he'd stopped pushing for her to find a husband - a husband would threaten to take her away from him, and there would always be a chance he would hurt her.
Glancing around his house one last time, Pollux stepped outside. He noticed the sky looked odd, but thought nothing more of it after that. "Shall we be on our way then?" Pollux lifted his arm and offered it, should Cassiopeia wanted to take it. At least here there weren't any terrifying muggle contraptions called automobiles to protect his family from.
