Remus shifted his weight from one foot to the other as he waited, but it didn't appear that anyone was home. He needed James, he needed to explain what was happening to him. He needed James to tell him to cut it out, that he was being stupid, that it would ruin the friendship to even attempt at having that type of relationship with Sirius who would never go for it.
"Come on, James," he sighed at the door, almost whining in desperation. He needed help! What was the point of having a best mate if you fell for him? What was the point of having another best mate if he couldn't even be bothered to tell you to snap out of it?
Remus turned back from the door and walked down the short steps of the porch. With a sigh, he lowered himself to the topmost step to wait. He would wait here until James showed up. He had time.
