"It doesn't look like it's none of your concern," Percy couldn't keep from observing, but he didn't press her to talk about it. The topic seemed to make her uncomfortable. But at the same time, it didn't seem trivial to her.
He picked up a biscuit to nibble at. "Not bad for something store-bought," Percy said, smiling faintly. He hoped to ease some of his own awkwardness and general embarrassment. It wasn't his strongest point.
