Lily had been pacing inside her "accommodations" since Harry said he was heading over to visit. She didn't know what to expect, but, no matter what she was acting like, she wasn't sure she could accept a fully grown man for her son. Oh, she knew she loved him already, just like she loved his children and wife and...well, the list went on. A mother's instinct was just that...instinct. She couldn't switch it off. Still, that didn't mean she didn't want her actual baby back. She was bloody terrified of "meeting" him and simply couldn't help it.
When she heard the knock, she jumped though she had been expecting it. "Well, here goes," she muttered before peeking through the small window to make sure it was actually someone she could trust. She saw a mop of dark hair and figured she was safe. Every so slowly, she opened the door. She gasped. He looked so much like James it was ridiculous. Well, except for the eyes...those had always been hers. "Oh..." She took a step back, emotion surging through her. "Darling...my baby..." Her eyes filled with tears.
