Tom wasn't surprised in the least when the request for more tea came. Whatever the boy was working on, he was utterly transfixed in it. Tom had seen few individuals of that age who had such concentration; it had been a perpetual disappointment when he had entered Hogwarts to find such frivolity and lack of ingenuity. He had always been interested in pushing his magic to its boundaries; it was perhaps why he had never had any qualms about learning Dark Magic. Where others had faltered, Tom had gladly gone.
In any case, he put together another cup of tea for the boy before rounding the end of the bar and heading over to his table. He set the cup down, his eyes briefly scanning what he had splayed out on the table.
"What are you working then?" Tom asked. He took a care to make his voice sound as friendly as possible, but the truth of the matter was that he didn't really if he was interrupting. The boy was in the establishment that Tom worked for and Tom saw it as a matter of rights to be allowed to know.
