Helena had gone back to the clothing store the day after Harry's birthday party. She had been comfortable in her short dress, once she finally got over the shock of showing off her legs to the general public. Now though, she wanted to swim. The first time she went to the store, she hadn't found anything acceptable for her time, the suits were not well thought out for her at all. But there were some very cute designs on some of the suits. Actually, Helena had fallen in love with one of them, even though it seemed to be very little and show off far too much skin for her liking. It was with trepidation that she went back and finally gave in and purchased the suit, as well as a robe that she could wear over the bathing suit in her walk to and from the beach.
Thankfully, there was no one on the beach, though she had passed a few people in the streets. It seemed, even for whatever much more modern year these people were living in, walking around town in a robe was not the norm. She would keep that in mind. Still, the beach was empty, at least where she had entered. Helena hadn't even invited Fred along, knowing just how uncomfortable she knew she would be. Even through the robe, she could feel the elastic of the suit on her skin in unimaginable places and she itched.
Picking up the courage to do so, Helena slipped out of her robe, letting it drop to the sand. She was close to the waterline, so that if she saw anyone approaching, she could be quick to grab it and throw it on. The water was cold, despite the tropical feel of the air around her, it made her skin prickle, but it still felt amazing. She felt a bit more free and she could finally understand why Adrian had decided to go in completely naked. Not that she would ever try that. Going in like this, with everything important still covered up, was incredibly awkward, even by herself.
But the water felt great, and dunking her head under the water to wet her hair, Helena didn't see as the tide went in and swept up her robe.
