Ginny/Albus
One day. One day she'd be the person he wanted, but not now. Ginny looked at Albus and felt like a miserable excuse for a person. She wasn't good enough for him now. That's what he was saying. Right now she was just someone who might be worthy of his time in the future.
"Yeah. Sure. One day." But she was so much older. And they'd both age here which meant she couldn't ever be the mother he knew and loved. It was hopeless to think she could fix this. "You know, I think you were right. This isn't the time to talk about this." Ginny was surprised at how badly his words had hurt. Maybe because he was her son it was ten times worse than it should have been. "I should get back to playing hostess."
