WHO: Ariana and Scorpius
WHERE: Scorpius's bungalow
WHEN: Thursday evening
WHAT: Chatting, evil baggage
RATING: Low
It felt awful. The anger and resentment that roiled through her body. She didn't want to feel this way, in fact the feelings were all tangled with the very guilt of feeling them. How could she be angry with her brothers for going to Hogwarts. They were wizards, they were supposed to go to Hogwarts and learn about charms and spells and potions and-
Leave her behind.
That was the crux of it wasn't it. She was different. She was damaged and had to stay chained to their home while they went off to achieve their destiny. And what was hers? Ariana had never been able to picture what a future for her looked like. Never been able to or unwilling... it was hard to tell which. Any thoughts on the matter were inevitably depressing and she couldn't stand to wallow in the thought that she'd always live as she had. One day the same as the next. Feeding her goats, knitting a little useless article of knick knack, making tea, reading a novel. Rinse and repeat. She'd listened with rapture at the stories Albus had told when he had returned from Hogwarts, she had clung to Aberforth on his return wanting to hear everything and life vicariously through him. But in the end there was only a bitter feeling that she could never join them.
She kicked bits of rock before her as she trudged down the small street, glancing at bungalows looking for one name in particular. Scoripus- well what was his last name? She doubted there were more than one Scorpius in a place this small. A pebble knocked into a porch and Ariana glanced up, seeing the name she had been in search of. Straightening up her shoulders, Ariana trudged up to the front door and knocked lightly.
She hoped that he was right. That it would actually help.
