It was nice, having her father support her despite the fact that she was thinking about dropping out of her training. She was glad that he remained encouraging, and that, aside from his affair, not much was different about him. It made her miss home a little less.
"Maybe," she replied, thinking over his words. "And, I don't know, I like to read. I like Wizard's chess...But that doesn't really matter now. We're stuck here. I'm a waitress. There's no Ministry for me to work for, no curses for me to break." She shrugged. "I don't mind my job here, anyway." It was better than healing.
