Holy hell that was a lot of questions. Hugo squirmed a bit under her demands, but he was going to answer. Hugo didn't want Rose to think he was keeping anything from her. So he didn't point out that she wasn't going to get to know him by talking about Scorpius.
"Uh, I just moved back to England.. I was living in Egypt. And we went out to celebrate him passing some test or something? You invited me along and he and I got on really well. And we started spending more time together and one night we kissed. We fought a lot, you know? Neither of us wanted to admit we were into the other, but we couldn't deny it for too long. I don't know what happened, but we really fell for each other. And you were great. Like you always are." Hugo rubbed the back of his neck and sighed. He didn't like thinking about his father's reaction to all of it. It was bad enough that Hugo wasn't going to get married and have a bunch of kids, but he'd fallen in love with a Malfoy.
"I told Dad. When Scorpius and I got serious. It didn't go over well." That was an understatement. A huge understatement, actually. Hugo could still hear the yelling. He didn't want to think about that.
So he stopped thinking about his dad. He really didn't like knowing that choosing to love someone meant he couldn't be the son his dad really wanted. "Uh, date? Oh. We don't really go on dates any more."
