Rose knew that was true. Hugo was never one to talk freely about much of anything, unless he felt particularly strongly about it. While things happened, that wasn't much of a problem - Hugo felt strongly about almost everything as it happened - but with time, that passion would fade. It would become part of the past and the greater the distance, the greater Hugo's ability to separate himself from the event. Although, as much as she knew that was true, she also knew that Scorpius would be one facet of his life that Hugo would still feel very strongly about, and yet had still said nothing on the subject.
"Well, how about we start with Scorpius?" she suggested as she made her way over to the sofa and sat down, patting the cushion next to hers. "He's not your whole life, but I'm sure he'd come up a lot if I dumped your head out and sifted through your memories. So how did you two start dating? Who asked who? When did you find out you liked each other? How did I react when I found out? How did mum and dad find out? How long have you two been dating? What was your first date? Your most recent one? What did you give each other for birthdays and Christmas and Valentine's day? I want to know everything, Hugo. You know me."
