"Perhaps. But maybe something tedious is just what we need. Something mind numbing to take our thoughts away from this version of real life for a couple of hours. That sounds like something to be excited about, at least to me." There, Helena had just effectively righted herself in the belief that it was okay to be excited about painting. That made everything alright again.
Following the bucket of paint, Helena also grabbed a paint brush, which never quite made it to the wall. Before she could even touch it, there was paint splattering everything. "Oh!" She cried out before realizing what had happened and bursting into laughter along with Angelina. She had infectious laughter, which was a good thing.
With a smirk, Helena made her way over to her roommate and, quite daringly for herself, dabbed the covered paint brush onto the front of Angelina's overalls. She backed away, waiting to see if she had stepped out of line, but not able to stop herself from laughing even harder.
