Helena had far too many things floating across her mind right now, and they were not all welcome. Matter of fact, most of them were not welcome. If there had been an easier way of flushing those thoughts out, Helena would have jumped on that. But there didn't seem to be, and it all came down to accepting drinks from a veritable stranger. On the beach. Alone at night. Everything about this meeting screamed wrong, begged for her to come to her senses. But not going would have meant staying in the bungalow and attempting to sleep, and not think. It was an impossible combination.
Still, the idea of becoming tipsy was not one she was sure about. Perhaps she could enjoy herself while watching this self proclaimed gentleman drink himself into a stupor. Helena had never really spent much time around a drunk, but she could imagine it being well worth a little of her time and a good distraction from real life.
She had been ready for bed before actually deciding to go out. Maybe tonight was also going to be the night that she got into a new sleeping pattern. It would be nice to sleep in, waking up after the sun had risen. But, needless to say, Helena needed to redress herself. Which usually took a good amount of time with all the petticoats and things that squeeze here and pinch there for the perfect body type. Helena forewent all of that and opted to wear a lighter dress, still long enough to cover all of her skin, but it didn't ask for much more then to just be put on. It was good for walking on the sandy beach. Which she headed to after dressing and throwing her, rather long hair, into a quick plait.
Yes, drinking just a bit was going to be a good idea.
