Teddy pretended to consider her first question, his hand on his chin and a smirk on his face. “I’d love that, mum.” He said, “You’ll love her. She’ll love you. I just hope I get my magic back by then, she might not recognize me with brown hair.” He joked, raking his hands through his wavy hair.
“Yeah, you can ask me anything,” He said more seriously, looking up at her as she spoke. He knew that feeling well, he had been feeling it half the time on the island. He reached out and put his hand on his mothers in what he hoped would be reassuring. “Of course I want you around! You’re my mum.” He grinned. “I know that feeling though. None of my real family knows who I am, well, like in the time they come from. Not you or dad or Gran or Granddad. It was hard enough telling Gran that I had disappointed her by wasting my school time only to become a rockstar, but now I have to do it again? It sucks.” He chuckled a little. Of course, he hadn’t even told his grandmother who he actually was yet.
