Sirius was right on board with the water bowl and collar idea. James was on an admirable fantastic-idea-roll tonight. Mentally, he doffed an imaginary hat to his fellow marauder. A toothy grin sufficed to show his appreciation. "Just in case Moony breaks loose, we'll have a little bell jingle to warn us the end is nigh," Sirius remarked, tone as light and casual as could be.
No need to be taking anything like locking a werewolf up in a library too seriously.
Sirius didn't think much of having his arm shrugged off. If he picked up an uncharacteristic edge in Remus's voice, he chalked it up to a case of the furry monthlies. Nothing they hadn't dealt with before.
Rather than try to put it back, or even acknowledge it had happened, Sirius looped his arms around his knees. "If we're getting him a water bowl, it'd only makes sense to get him a big slab of meat to chew on, yeah? Maybe that'll keep him occupied."
