Remus turned an annoyed look on Sirius when he mocked him for the books. It wasn't which books he would be destroying that bothered him, it was just the notion that he would be destroying books in general. Even if it were a collection of lullabies, it was possible that some day, someone might be brought here with a small child and have need of it, even if it wasn't epic literature and-
That wasn't the point. Remus knew that wasn't the point, the point was that the other inhabitants of the island would be safe. But when Sirius put it that way, Remus felt his hair bristle in annoyance and the arm around his shoulders didn't help matters at all.
This wasn't a time for jokes and let's all mock Moony and his love of books. This was serious. And yes, they were 'Just Books', but so what? Couldn't they take shared property into consideration while they were planning?
James' suggestion did sound good, though. Of course, they would have to make sure the library did have a back room before they counted on using it, but it was a start. Besides, they had a week to take every single book out of the building if it came down to it. But then, there he went, once again, joking about water bowls and a collar with a bell. The hand on his shoulder was really starting to piss Remus off and he shrugged it off.
"Yeah. That's good. We'll talk to Harry," he said, his voice coming out angry despite his attempt at calming down. The hand was gone, but now he wanted it back! Now annoyed with himself, Remus bent, leaning his elbows on his knees and rubbed a hand over his face in frustration before looking back up at the moon. It was the moon. It was just the moon.
