Remus was grateful to his friends for coming, but he didn't notice the light tone Sirius tried to set for them. He was a little too focused on the problem at hand, at the moon's threatening presence, the sign of danger looming high above them. It was a very big problem and one that Remus was afraid couldn't be solved, even by their combined genius.
James' announcement didn't come as a surprise to Remus who found he could still be disappointed. At least he had tried. "We have to warn everyone. We have to..." lock me up, hide everyone, send everyone away, put me in a boat in the middle of the ocean, keep the full moon from coming. None of his ideas were executable and he shook his head, voice trailing off. "I don't know what we can do. But we need to protect them." The only silver lining Remus could find was that, if what the bloke in the journals said was true, almost everyone was aware of the problem. They would just need to be reminded of it.
