Gellert's brows rose--not because of the expression of the anti-Botts sentiment (because too many disliked the beans, after all, given their range of flavours)--but because he'd hardly expected Albus, of all people, to mark off an entire brand of candy on the basis of a single negative experience. Of course, he was forced to recognise that he barely knew Albus Dumbledore, really, but what he had learned of him over the past few weeks here on the island seemed to run rather contrary to the announcement of such generalised biases.
"Really?" he said, drawing his hand out of the bag and cinching it closed once more. "You would deny an entire type of candy because you once tasted a single flavour that you didn't enjoy?"
Gellert hardly needed an excuse to bring himself close to Albus once more, though this served as an excellent one. He was out of the hammock in seconds and crawling onto Albus's bed, opening up the bag of beans and extending it toward Albus. "Don't be ridiculous," he said, though there was no true disdain in his tone. "Go on, try one. Here," he reached inside, rummaging about until he surfaced with a pale pink bean between his fingers. "Try this one. It looks like it might be strawberries-and-cream."
