Regulus curled his tongue in against James', practically able to taste the alcohol that James had drank. Regulus' head was practically spinning though, because he could scarcely believe that this was all happening again, that he was letting this happen again. He thought he knew better than this by now, but James had a certain knack for blotting out every sensible thought in his head.
Regulus' spine straightened a little when James' hand slipped up underneath his shirt. He let out a heavy breath against James' mouth, because his hand was so much warmer than Regulus had expected. But then, James had always seemed to be a little warmer than most people. Maybe it was because he was more vibrant, more alive, always simmering with some emotion. Regulus pushed into the kiss, trying to keep up with James. He was aware of how their bodies were so close together that their legs were entangled.
His breathing hitched and that was when he dug his fingers a little into the nape of James' neck so that he could hold the other in place as pulled away, breaking their kiss. His gaze almost instantly went down to where James' lips already seemed swollen. But - but, he had a point to make. He dragged his eyes back up, because he knew he wouldn't have long.
"We shouldn't do this here," Regulus breathed out, because it was far too open. It was a public space and they couldn't be seen. They risked too much - if anyone, anyone at all, ever found out, everything would be ruined.
