Bella jumped a little as a mango landed near her. She hadn't expected that. As she got up to pick it up, the knife landed next to her hand. "Thank you." She quickly peeled the fruit and took a bite, making an appreciative sound. "That is good." She moved, leaning against the tree trunk, and propping her feet up on her book.
Once she folded the knife, she offered a warning, "Watch out," before she lightly tossed it back, hoping it landed somewhere near him.
Taking another bite, she said, "I wonder how many different things you could make with these mangoes. I know pies are possible, but is there anything else?" She was truly starved for a good conversation. Even one that was about food.
