Tom was not pleased in the slightest to find himself - well, to find himself wherever this place was. He had been in Egypt, studying the different, darker spells that the ancient Egyptians had put together. The ones that had been of particular interest at the time had been the ones that discussed the afterlife and the promise of immortality. He had assumed that anything relating to the subject could be of help, even if he had the Horcruxes. While he had been working on some rather complex and elaborate spells, nothing seemed likely to have caused him to be transported to this strange area.
He had inspected the luggage several times over, but had been unable to open any piece of it - and was also uncertain why it was following him. It was more of an annoyance than anything else. As it was, he'd flipped briefly through the journal, but saw nothing of particular interest or importance. There were other people here, but they seemed unaware and incompetent, unable to assist him in any manner. Before he could decide his next course of action, some woman rudely interrupted him. His temper balanced precariously on edge. He was already feeling impatient; her disrespectful comment didn't help matters any.
"I do believe you are mistaken," he said as he turned, his voice cold, each word clearly enunciated.
