That certainly hadn't been remotely close to anything she had been suspecting. Marriage? It was something she didn't know much about; the closest she had come to it was her godfather and his wife. Even then, she didn't have many positive examples of relationships in her life, let alone something as definite as marriage. Knowing her mother, the one in her time, this wouldn't have been in the realm of possibility. But the Pansy here was much different than the one she knew, or at least seemed to be.
For the most part, she had been separate of her parents on the island, capable of caring for herself. As far as she was concerned, they could do whatever they pleased. She was surprised to be included in this decision.
