George was nervous, he had a lot of things to be nervous about. His upcoming proposal to the woman he loved more than air. The conversation that was to proceed it with her --- their daughter, and the hopefulness that the girl would help him find a ring that would adequately please her mother. It didn’t help that he wouldn’t know how Amelie would react, he hadn’t had much interaction with the girl.
When she knocked on the door, he grinned and announced that he was going out (because talking to Amelie in the home he shared with Pansy, only begged to have them be over heard by the other woman) before he opened the door. He grinned at her, but he wasn’t sure how to greet her. Normally, he would hug her, but he was certain she was too much like her mother for that to be okay.
“Hey!” He said softly, “I’m really glad you have time to talk to me right now. Do you mind walking?” He asked.
