"It's not illogical, it's paradoxical," Scorpius sighed the words out. Maybe Hugo didn't get it, but he wasn't about to start a big argument over it.
"Tact's not my strong point," he disclaimed, scrubbing a palm down his face. "I know it's not a great feeling, but it's not a marvelous feeling for me either. I'm a Malfoy and I've been raised to believe I have to protect the reputation of that name. It's not easy to throw off that sense of duty. That pressure."
Absently stirring his drink, Scorpius was regretting not asking for something alcoholic.
"You said you told your dad about us. Was that easy for you?"
