The lack of rules and regulation on the island were quite bothersome. How were they to know when to work and when not to work and where was the money appearing from? Percy filled his head with such questions and concerns because it kept him from thinking about how his brother hated him and had every right to do so.
Standing up, he wiped the beads of sweat off his forehead and surveyed his work.
"Lawn boy indeed," he muttered under his breath to himself, unaware that there was anything – or anyone – around until he heard the crunch of underbrush. Percy looked up wearily. All he had was a pathetic pair of scissors to defend himself with if it was some monstrous island creature.
"Er, is there anyone there?" Percy asked timidly. Probably not the best question to ask if it was a beast.
