But he wasn't asleep. Remus heard the cup being set down on the table, and the dip in Regulus's bed. It was selfish, but Remus pretended to sleep; he didn't want to answer any questions about the blood on his bed, about how he was feeling or any of it. He just wasn't in the mood. His arm hurt and frustration never made Remus particularly happy.
But although he heard Regulus's bed dip, he didn't hear the man shift to lie down. Either Remus had missed it, or Regulus was simply sitting up. And if he was sitting up, he was waiting for something. And had brought Remus tea.
Wonderful.
Remus opened his eyes and turned his head to face Regulus. "Thank you, for the tea."
