Angelina merely blinked as Adrian magically transformed back into the guy everyone hated. The guy she hated alongside everyone else. "No," she said simply and with force. "If there was no reason you wouldn't be like this. You'd be much more sarcastic in pushing the issue aside, and you wouldn't be demanding that I leave, you'd be trying to take my clothes off."
Not that it mattered if there was anything, because Angelina knew he wasn't going to tell her if there was. But she needed to believe there was something. Even if no one else did. If Angelina stopped believing there was an ounce of good in him, he would go back to being Pucey the Jackass.
"I don't particularly believe it's all in the past. You were upset about cheating in the future, why not the past? There has to be some sort of guilt inside you, somewhere."
