Evan wasn't one for words, really. He communicated better through looks and gestures. Words just never came out in quite the right way for him, he realized more and more. Therefore, it was prudent only to talk when necessary. This is what gained Euan another raised eyebrow and shake of the head. Oh, if only he could have found this kid to be amusing or some sort of good company, their whole situation could have been marginally better.
The pub, however, finally sounded like a good idea. He needed a drink. After the afternoon he had, it needed to be strong. Preferably not fruity, but he really wasn't going to complain if that's what he ended up having, so long as it was hard and strong.
"Convince me why going would be a good idea and I might." He couldn't just suddenly change his mind and decide that this kid was good enough to spend his precious time with. He needed to make Euan work for his company. And if he was going to do that, he might as well find out why the kid kept popping up and bugging him at the same time.
