Would he see? Remus really didn't know about that. They'd snogged, that was it. In fact, if he hadn't seen Sirius since, he might have believed the whole thing to have been a very vivid, detailed hallucination induced by pain and sleeping potions. But just because they'd snogged, that didn't mean that they were going to do anything more than that or even that the experience would ever be repeated. Remus would've thought that if anyone would know that much, it'd be James.
And the thing with Anna... she'd spent the whole time gasping at his scars, mapping them out, frowning at him with unspoken questions. And then she'd closed her eyes, preferring not to see him at all in the faded light of the moon. That experience had been so very underwhelming that Remus had had no interest in repeating it at all. Truth be told, he was still afraid. Sirius had seen him without his clothes on several times - more times than anyone else ever had - but that didn't mean he wouldn't be disgusted if ever....
Remus shook his head, dislodging those thoughts, took a breath and a sip of his ale. He was getting ahead of himself again, letting James take him somewhere he wasn't sure Sirius would even be interested in. No one knew Sirius's propensity to jump into bed with someone more than Remus did, but surely Sirius didn't see him as a viable candidate with whom to jump into bed.
"Yeah," Remus eventually said, to break the silence. "It must be." In truth, Remus had only been curious about what all the fuss was about, had thought it best to put the experience behind him at a younger age, knowing full well that the opportunities would become even more scarce as he grew older. And there had been an aspect of revenge in it, which he supposed might have detracted from the experience as well; Sirius had always been bringing skirts home and Remus was jealous. Retribution had taken the form of a one night stand he never intended to repeat with anyone else. "Because that wasn't great."
Another sip of ale, and Remus was pushing off the counter. "Come sit with me. Standing is more tiring than you realise." The now mysteriously empty bottle was left on the counter, and Remus got another from the refrigerator before relocating to the sofa in the sitting room.
