Remus hesitated for half a beat before pulling two ales out of the refrigerator, thinking that perhaps James' answer, which had come very quickly, might have simply been borne of reflex rather than any real decision-making, and then shut the door with his knee. One of the bottles was handed over to James.
"Yes." He nodded, as though 'yes' hadn't been clear enough, before handing James the other bottle; washing his hands was one thing but opening a bottle required the use of two working hands. "I don't know if-" He shook his head. He'd been thinking about this far too much over the last few days since it had happened. He'd seen Sirius since, but they hadn't repeated that particular sort of encounter. "We'll see if anything's coming of it." He doubted it, but you never knew, with Sirius. He tended to surprise you.
