I'm missing your laugh How did it break? And when did your eyes begin to look fake? I hope you're as happy as you're
In the last month, Ginny's life had changed completely. She'd lost her husband, her mother, her home. She'd lost her sanity. But, in the same month, she was blessed with an amazing son and someone who really and truly loved her. The constant pull of her emotions from one extreme to the other was exhausting and all Ginny wanted was to get on with her life. But moving on meant she had to face the past and face the man at the center of it all.
Talking to Harry use to be so effortless. They could, and often did, stay up all hours of the night talking. There was nothing they hadn't shared, expect their true, honest feelings. Ginny realized that while she loved Harry, still loved him and always would, they should never had gotten married. The way she felt about him couldn't compare to the way she felt about Dean. And now that she was removed from it all, Ginny realized that no matter how much she and Harry wanted to make things work, they were never really going to be happy.
Because, if she really forced herself to admit it, Ginny wasn't going to be enough for Harry and Harry wasn't ever going to be enough for her. But, none of that excused what she'd done to him and it was time, beyond time, to face the man she hurt.
Standing at the door of Grimmauld Place, Ginny hesitated. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath before knocking on the door. It was now or never.
