Who: Janus Yaxley, Hestia Jones, Minerva McGonagall, Callum Proudfoot When: Friday, the 5th of November! 9 PMish. Where: Sittingbourne, Kent, England (Montgomery home) Rating: High Warnings: Probably violence, language Summary: The trap is sprung.
Fireworks. Kent's skies were lit with a smattering of fireworks, and Sittingbourne was no exception. Muggles still ran about outside, despite the time.
Yaxley wasn't a fan of the holiday; he had always hated it during his years of active service to the DMLE (when he hadn’t been so deskbound), but he had to admit this time around, it might provide for a nice cover, in case Ronnie’s criminal friends did actually bother to show up. After all, Montgomery's father wouldn't have been there on Tuesday had they ever come to collect him. He hoped the Order were the ones involved.
While his travelling cloak made him blend into the roof behind him, Janus was getting chilly waiting up there all night. The two Hit Wizards he had dragged with had already complained enough and left the rooftop, settling for taking up places in the yard. One would briefly look into the windows of the Muggle's residence and the adjoining homes every so often. Janus had to call down to the pair every few minutes to keep their minds on what they had come for.
He wouldn't have been surprised if they were just "itching to kill something." While Yaxley was feeling rather the same this week, after the multiple insults to the Ministry’s security, he wanted there to be a purpose. If he was going to kill someone, let it be the Order. Killing Montgomery's father wouldn't have been worth it. Plus, as much as he hated to admit it, the Muggle had been far more welcoming than most of his peers of late.
Hmph.
Rubbing his hands together, he turned around to look at the back yard. Having a high perch would definitely be a surprise to any Order types who showed up, and Yaxley had every intention to showing whoever had shown up that he wasn't to be trifled with anymore. This was as much for his own pride, as it was for capturing Order members.
