Theodore and Astoria
Who: Theodore and Astoria Where: Azkaban When: Aug 20 What: Theodore comes to collect his bride-to-be
Astoria read the words in her journal over and over again just to make sure she wasn't hallucinating them. It was a very real possibility: in days past (weeks past? she wasn't sure) she'd been given to seeing things, hearing things that she'd later realized couldn't have been there.
But there they were: Yes, of course. A reply to her request (well, demand) to be freed. Was it really that simple? If so, Theodore Nott had just become her favourite person in the world. Later on she could deal with the fact that she was somehow engaged to him (and without even a proper proposal! Where was the ring? Where were the flowers? The string quartet? The beautifully impassioned speech?) but for now, anyone who could get her out of this awful hellhole was just fine by her.
"Gus, Gus!" she said excitedly, scampering to the wall that separated their cells, "I'm getting out! Did you see? I'm getting out!"
But there was no reply. There hadn't been any reply since they'd dragged him out to Merlin knew where. It had been about the same time the hallucinations had started happening. Imagine that.
Astoria slumped back against the wall, disappointed at the lack of someone to share her good news with. Maybe when she was out she could look for him, if he was still alive. She doubted it. Most people didn't leave Azkaban alive.
But she was, and that was something to look forward to. Clean clothes! A shower! LIP BALM. Astoria couldn't wait.
