"Are you sure? You seem to quite like that part," she teased, her eyelids low as she gazed at his expression in the mirror. She'd never complain about her body, not seriously. There were bigger matters that were more important than bloody looks. She knew that she was fit, no need to fuss over it. Still, she had hoped it would have been a better distraction. "
She wasn't sure why but she lowered her gaze when he called her by her full name. She never expected it and it made her instantly think of adults calling on her for being in trouble. It's not that she didn't like her name but it never suited her, she was an Al. "I never said I was opposed to long.." but the joke died on her lips with his next statement. It's not that she wanted to be that girl, she was simply used to leaving before the other person got bored.
"You were never a one-night stand. It just happened one night. It's not like I was never going to talk to you again."
He said that word like it was so easy. Maybe for someone like him it was. She didn't know what to do with a word like that. It had never been part of her vocabulary.
"That's what I know how to give," she said softly, rocking on her feet at staring at the opposite wall. She didn't know how to be loved, or accept love. Sex was easy, giving was easy. She didn't even know how to show love properly. She was too afraid to have someone else leave her that she never learned how. What if she couldn't give him that? It wasn't because of him, she was too afraid of being broken. "I don't know how to..." She couldn't explain it. "I don't know how."
