Who: Severus Snape & Orla Quirke When: 24 August 2000, morning Where: Hogwarts then Spinner'sEnd Rating: PG-13 Summary: Severus goes to pick up his new slave. He's not pleased with this.
Severus was irritated. He'd freely admit this to anyone who dared to ask though even the most stupid person ought to be able to recognise his mood just by looking at him. He didn't want a servant. He didn't need a servant. He certainly didn't want one cluttering up the last haven he to get away from the idiots in this world. Now he had to bring one of those idiots into his home and ruin everything.
He'd depended on having his home as the one place where he did not have to be a Death Eater or a spy or anything else that anyone expected him to be. It had been the one place, the only place he could just be Severus Snape, the man, and now that was lost to him. Now he was going to have to keep the façade up even in his own home and he wasn't entirely certain he could do that and remain sane. There was no help for it. He was going to have to take a risk and find another place to use as a safe haven now that his sanctuary was lost to him.
He did his best to keep the worst of his irritation at bay as he stalked up the path to Hogwarts, his black robes swirling around him in their usual dramatic fashion, though the thought of the Dark Lord sullying these corridors didn't help him much. As a result, when he walked into the Entrance Hall. He'd sent word yesterday to have the girl brought here as he'd had no intention of going out to Azkaban if that was where she had been kept.
So now he simply glared at the guards before snapping, "Well? Orla Quirke. Bring her here now. Undamaged or you'll get much the same."
He watched impatiently as the guard scurried off into the castle and then waited.
