Verity grinned, glad that he didn't comment further on her mother or the way she was raised. She'd learned a lot from those years- it made her tougher. "I've never had any complaints on my cooking, I guess that's good, yeah?" As she sipped the tea she did feel that her throat was getting better, the urge to cough was less at least.
