Who: Ginny Weasley and Michael Corner When: October 2nd Where: Ministry Ballroom. Rating: TBD Warnings: It's Ginny and Michael not being tortured. Summary: Ginny catches sight of Michael and sneaks awaywith him during the wedding.
The wedding was overwhelming. So many people Ginny hadn't seen in what felt like ages. Granted, it had been an age. So many friends that she wished she could spend time visiting with. She kept a distinct look out for her brothers and of course, Michael. Ginny wasn't entirely sure how she felt about Michael. He was her ex-boyfriend, but more than that, lately he'd been one of the only people to understand her. Understand that the desperate need for humor in her journal was the only way she could stay sane. Picking fights with Death Eaters, even Voldemort himself, might have been suicidal, but it was her way of fighting back. It wasn't smart, but it was what she could do. Show him, show them that even when she had lost nearly everything, she was still fighting.
And there he was. Serving drinks, just like her.
Making a beeline for him, Ginny walked past, making sure to click their trays together as she did so. A couple of glasses upended, spilling champagne over the silver, and she swore in a soft voice. "Bugger! Best go to the kitchen to clean this up."Her eyes caught his and she glanced towards the kitchens, knowing that there had to be a nook somewhere. Privacy, even the smallest bit, would have been a godsend.Turning, she moved through the crowd towards the kitchen, but headed down a side hallway, finding a door and opening it. It was a pantry that she'd seen earlier in the day, one that held spare things, things they likely wouldn't need.
Stepping in, she waited for Michael to join her as she set the tray aside, peering about to make sure that no one had seen them.
