Who: Steve & Blaise. Open to Roger/Rose/Eddie/Mandy/Silas Where: St. Mungo's, room 439 What: A visit When: Midday? Rating: Meh. Steve can't talk much
Steve wasn't sure of anything right now. The minutes stretched into hours, which stretched even longer. Steve wasn't sure if he'd been here a day, a week, or a month. Time ticked by slowly, but he felt logically that happened when you were injured. When you couldn't do anything, a minute felt like an hour. That's what was happening to Steve. At least, when he was awake. Right now, Steve was awake. Not exactly lucid, but at least he was awake. Steve hadn't seen who attacked him, much less what he'd been hit with. The Healers hadn't seem too sure themselves, either. All Steve knew was that when his pain potions wore off, everything hurt. His nerves felt like they were on fire, each hair felt like it was being ripped out of his body, and his organs felt like they were being squished. Right now, Steve was under the influence of a pain potion.
There were a few things Steve was sure of. Roger and Rose had been there. He was pretty sure they weren't there right now, but he couldn't be certain. Did they say something about getting lunch? Maybe. Or maybe he'd just been here so long they didn't come everyday anymore. He didn't hear any voices. Steve felt like it was lunchtime, but he couldn't be sure. One thing Steve knew, was not to trust the windows. They were charmed. They darkened when he fell asleep, and brightened when he woke up. Steve recalled reading something about sunshine being healthy, so he supposed that's why it was always sunny in St. Mungo's.
The journals were plaguing Steve. Tavish had been found, and he was in St Mungo's too. Steve ached with desire to see his friend, but it didn't sound as though he was any better off than Steve. He'd seen Verity's journal, and he couldn't remember if he'd replied or not. Everything he read danced in his mind, not making completely sense, but certain words stuck out. Such as "Oscar" and "baby". In both Blaise and Silas' entries, the words about Tavish had stuck out. Nothing was being said though, nothing Steve could understand. Why did they fight that battle? How were the others? Was Steve going to get punished for being off duty?
